Since its beginnings in the early 1930's Nicholson Autos has witnessed tremendous change in the motor industry. When the business originally opened in Morrinsville it was owned by the Paine family, with strong emphasis on providing quality GM vehicles at affordable prices. Today the business is still family owned, though now by the Nicholson family. It has undergone dramatic expansion. Graham Nicholson originally worked for the Paine family business, starting off as a Car Groomer and working his way up to become the Sales Manager and part owner, before buying the business in 1980.

propic_345Graham was involved in the Motor Industry for 46 years. He served on Dealer Councils for GM & Toyota, and was a Board Member of Motor Trade Association over the years. He also was very actively involved in the local community.

Graham was actively involved in the business right up to his death in October 2004.

His sons Dean and Ross worked with their father and have been involved in the business for 20 years, and continue with Graham's philosophy of family and community.

Dean and Ross are both Director/Shareholder's in the Company with Dean being the CEO and Ross the Operations Manager. Their mother Shirley is also a Director and Shareholder.

Specialising in Holden and Toyota vehicles, the business has approximately 100 vehicles in stock at its spacious Morrinsville site. The business also incorporates a Caltex service station and a fully equipped Service Department. The workshop services all franchise brands of vehicles, specialising in Holden and Toyota. As well as professional after sales service, the work shop caters for general every-day maintenance on all makes and models. A well equipped parts department ensures repairs and maintenance are efficiently and easily carried out.

In 2005 Nicholson Autos also expanded it operations into Matamata where we offer the same fantastic service as has always been given in Morrinsville. The Matamata Branch is also able to offer vehicle sales and professional vehicle servicing and grooming facilities.

Nicholson Autos are Holden and Suzuki franchise holders in the Waikato region and has a strong customer base throughout the area.

Nicholson's have an exciting selection of cars including, utes, four-wheel-drives and vans, there is also an extensive range of second hand vehicles. While the capability of vehicles has undergone immense change since the business first opened, one thing which remains, and will continue in the future which is the complete - commitment to our customers.
