Blackwell Loadmaster was established in 1956 as a small family owned automotive engineering business (R A Blackwell Engineers). Among the first products manufactured were towbars under the Loadmaster brand.
The business grew quickly,and moved to a high profile manufacturing site in Blenheim Road, Sockburn and today employs about 10 people.
Today the business is still a family concern, owned by Mark and Jackie Calcott. Towbars are still the main product but we are also market leaders in Ute and small truck decks, bullbars, both steel and air bag approved Alloy, Nudge bars, Cargo barriers and trailers.
For customers outside Christchurch, we offer a very efficient freighting service throughout NZ with towbars and ute decks sent direct to customers and dealers for fitting.
Blackwell Loadmaster is a supplier to the Capricorn Society for Trade customers nationwide as well we supply to CRT shareholders throughout the South Island with great deals.
